One Piece movies box office: franchise grosses by film
One Piece Film Red is the franchise's clear box office peak. The older films have patchier public figures, and mixing currencies and territories hides that.
Published: 2026-10-13. Updated: 2026-10-13.
Short answer: One Piece Film Red finished its Japan run at 19.7 billion yen and reached 31.9 billion yen worldwide, according to AniTrendz reporting on January 29, 2023. The earlier films we could source are far smaller in Japan: Film Z at 6.87 billion yen, Film Gold at 5.2 billion yen, and Stampede at more than 5.5 billion yen as of November 2019. The rows below mix yen and dollars, and Japan and worldwide, so each is labelled.
One Piece films with a sourced gross
Only some entries in the long One Piece film series have a figure we could open and confirm. The table lists those, with the territory, currency and date of each. It does not rank rows against each other, because they are not all the same kind of number.
Film Red is the standout. AniTrendz reported its Japan run ending on January 29, 2023 at 19.7 billion yen, with 31.9 billion yen worldwide announced by the film's official account. Box Office Mojo separately lists Red at $135.9 million in Japan and $171.3 million worldwide.

The older films
Anime News Network's November 2016 report puts Film Z at 6.87 billion yen and Film Gold at 5.2 billion yen in Japan. The same report says the franchise's 13 films to that point had earned 30 billion yen in total since 2000. Since then Stampede and Red have been released, so that total is out of date and is not a current franchise figure.
Stampede's numbers come from an Anime News Network report on November 9, 2019, citing the official One Piece site: more than 5.5 billion yen in Japan and a combined 9.3 billion yen worldwide. Later reports may exist, so these are not stated as final totals.
Using the figures
Yen figures are not converted here, and the dollar rate quoted by trade outlets at the time varies by date. AniTrendz gave about US$151.9 million for Red's 19.7 billion yen Japan total, while Box Office Mojo lists $135.9 million for Japan. The difference is a currency and timing effect, not a conflict about attendance.

What is missing from the public record
Quote each row with its territory, currency and date, and avoid totals that add rows together.
Where public evidence stops: We did not confirm a Japan or worldwide gross from an opened source for Strong World or for the earlier films before it, so they are not in the table. We also did not find a final Japan total for Stampede. Missing rows mean unverified, not zero.
